On the N198, nestled between the sea, vineyards and mountains of the eastern plain, a timeless place cultivates the art of hospitality with a rare balance between tradition and commitment. Halfway between a family inn and a gourmet restaurant, Chez Marie embodies the discreet elegance of timeless Corsica. It is a place to be discovered off the beaten track, a stopover that quickly becomes a favourite destination.
A living heritage, a story of transmission
Founded in 1967 by Marie Orsini, an emblematic figure of Linguizzetta, the house was initially a family guesthouse as they used to be: generous, friendly and open to both passing travellers and regulars. Today, her great-nephew, Pascal Orsini, has taken up the torch, supported by Sergio Risdonne, to write a new chapter in this family history, without ever betraying its soul.
A complementary duo, a committed project
Trained at some of the most prestigious establishments, from the Grand Hôtel du Cap Ferrat to Ze Kitchen Galerie and Gordon Ramsay, Pascal and Sergio left the Parisian scene to breathe new life into this iconic location. Their ambition is to make Chez Marie an exceptional destination, rooted in its terroir and looking to the future.

Carefully renovated, the former guesthouse has been redesigned with exemplary eco-responsibility in mind: rational water and energy management, short supply chains and a reduced ecological footprint. At Chez Marie, luxury is first and foremost sincere and lasting hospitality, where every gesture counts.
A restaurant with character in the heart of the eastern plain
The heart of the place beats around the zinc bar, a meeting place for farmers, shepherds, citrus growers and travellers. On the plate, Chef Sergio showcases local produce with precision and flair: organic veal blanquette, osso bucco with citrus fruits, Corsican beef meatballs, pasta with clams or the famous carbonara, voted ‘best in France’ by François-Régis Gaudry. And to finish, a signature citrus cake that celebrates the seasons with pœtry.
A renowned, celebrated and beloved establishment
Distinguished as one of the 20 best restaurants in Corsica by L’Express and awarded the ‘Restaurant de Qualité’ label by the Collège Culinaire de France, Chez Marie is much more than a restaurant: it is a place to live, pass through and share, a precious stopover for those seeking the real Corsica – with neighbouring Italy as a permanent guest. A discreet but confident presence, like a tasty nod from Sergio to his native Italy, through specialities that he reinterprets with elegance and sincerity. His personal touch can be found both on the plates and in the grocery store, where products from Italy meet those of the maquis. Here, the Mediterranean is not a border but a gateway of flavours, offering cuisine steeped in memory and character, just like the man who created it.
